New Year, Old Tech. Moving back to Blogger from WordPress

It seems like the older you get, the less clutter and complexity you choose. I'm back to Blogspot again.

Looks like almost a 10 year round trip, when I saw my old post in 2014 saying that I'll move to WordPress for better journaling tool.

But guess what, Blogspot still exist today, and it's fast, simple, and most importantly sustainable.

WordPress on the other hand, is getting better with new tech and block based editing. But also, it's getting heavier and bloated, and the free one comes with ugly ads now.

A quick check on perplexity suggest that it's still actively maintained by Google, only that it's in silent maintenance mode, which mean, no more fancy new features and more about how this tool/platform can goes against the test of time.

Admittedly, some of my newer wordpress posts are now block based and it's hard to migrate to other platform.

I'm doing similar to Makanmana, moving my contents (well not all since the migration tools doesn't work anymore, but most important one). After all these years, it's memories that matters, not the tech. And I need something stable and can still work for the next 10-20 years since 2007.
