I disconnected from internet and…

Jadi hari ini gw temenin Lilo buat ngurusin perpanjangan pasportnya.

Perjalanan dari Jerteh ke Kampung Raja makan waktu sejam.

Dan seperti biasa, karena ini short trip imlekan kurang lebih 10 hari, gw ga beli nomor lagi, jadi literally hape gw no mobile data juga.

Tapi, sebelum berangkat gw udah ada beberapa library buku yang rencananya mau gw abisin selama liburan...

Good thing gw pake google play books jadi ga usah bawa buku fisik lagi, karena selain berat, ya repot aja nambah beban bagasi.

Dan, google play books juga enak banget dipake, karena sebelumnya gw pake moon reader+ Pro, offline dan layout epub kadang bisa aneh.

Anyway, buku2 digital ini kalian bisa download dari libgen.is, cari aja format epub, lalu open epub nya menggunakan google play book, otomatis terupload dan sync ke beberapa device sekaligus.

Jadi gw bisa baca di hape, lanjut di tablet. Enaknya di hape karena enteng dipegang, enaknya baca di tablet karena bisa 2 page layout, serasa baca buku beneran.

Anyway, back to topic.

Jadi karena gw nungguin di mobil, tak terasa gw nungguin hampir 2 jam. Biasanya gw udah ngomel abis... tapi ntah kenapa siang tadi gw habisin 2 buku langsung, tanpa interupsi, dan gw bener2 dapat fokusnya.

Dan sepertinya gw akan coba repeat lagi metode ini, set mobile dan wifi off jadi benar2 gak ada gangguan.

Yes, a lot less. I'm leaving Mana Aktiva on 1 Dec 2023 officially, starting Makanmana (makanmana.net) and Eventmana (eventmana.id) again, with my long time partner Bobby and couple of teammate who believe in us.

I'm going bootstrap with small team, less stress, more agile decision and action.


And let's see where 2024 will bring us.

Hard to imagine I've been blogging for 17 years, and that's not including blogging from Blogger since 2005 (my old site eltepedia.blogspot.com)

My primary site (makanmana.net), running WordPress since 1.x and glad I invested in this platform and CMS. It was hacked couple times before I could manage to monetize and moved it to WordPress.com platform. A bit more pricey but then I save all the hassle optimizing performance and focus more on writing instead.

One blog I still regularly follow is Ma.tt, the founder of WordPress, although I guess he's too busy now the site hasn't got regular theme update like it used to.

Anyway, if you're reading this Matt, I just wanna say thank you for all the gift to the open source community. Calypso project seemed impossible in the beginning, and learning curve was steep, but after getting my hands dirty on FSE, this is really something remarkable.

Seems like they still update this platform, which is nice considering Google. I have so much memories in the Blogger platform and decided not to erased it just yet.
